Tree plantings at Asgadao, Merizo with Department of Agriculture's Forestry Division and the Bureau of Statistics and Plans, Sept 8., Oct. 6, and Nov. 10, 2018 from 8:30 AM - 12 PM.
Volunteers will hike up into upper parts of the Manell watershed (at the border of Inarajan and Merizo). Volunteers will transport and plant trees at the tree planting site. Tree planting helps restore the watershed to address erosion and prevent sediments from getting our to coral reefs. This event is hosted by Guam Dept. of Agriculture's Forestry Division and supported by NOAA's Habitat Blueprint initiative.
Meeting point: Blue Bus Stop in Asgadao (see attached photos). Park in grassy area around bus stop. Attached 2 labeled photos to show each side of bus stop whether you're coming down from the East side (from Ipan, Inarajan) and from the West (Agat, Umatac).
Required to wear closed-toed shoes (slippers/flip flops are not acceptable)
Wear appropriate sun protection - use sunblock, wear long sleeves/rash guard, hat, sunglasses.
Bring a water bottle - water coolers will be on site for volunteers.

PS: There is also a kid friendly tree planting on Oct. 27th located in Merizo as well called "Trick or Trees". Events will include tree plantings, scavenger hunts, costume contests, and a mini fair.
